A Bag to Keep Your Overlocker / Serger Protected
If you are spending money on an overlocker / serger (and even the cheapest are not cheap!) then a good quality overlocker / serger bag is worth having for protection and to prevent dust build up. Dust and lint sticking to oil are big problems for overlockers / sergers and severely reduce their ability to work effectively or accurately.

As it's a trolley bag it’s ideal if you often move your overlocker / serger around or put it in the car for example if you go to overlocker / serger classes or lessons or sometimes take it to work with away from home.
This bag is great looking!! We love the modern, clean feel and the elegant and stylish navy stripes! It is also available in black (the black looks good, but we prefer the blue!).
There is internal padding for protection in transit and zip closures. It has strong hook and loop style secure strap handles if you want to pick it up to carry. It also has helpful side lifting handles and a velcro handle cover attachment for comfort when carrying.
The whole top and front open up for complete ease of access to your overlocker / serger.
It is very roomy and likely to be quite a bit bigger than your overlocker / serger. The excess space is extremely useful for the project or fabric you are working on.
It has large pockets to store all your accessories, manual, threads, cones and foot peddle.
The reason for the difference in price between this the other two bags we recommend here is that it is also a trolley and has wheels underneath! It has telescopic metal handle which locks in position and has easy glide triple wheels so that it is stable and very easy to move.
It is shower proof for moving between car and house, for example and the bag is easy wipe clean.
You also get a manufacturer’s guarantee of 1 year so that if you have a problem which was the result of a fault in the manufacturing process, then it will either be replaced or repaired for you free of charge.
On the downside, you have to do a little basic assembly yourself when you first get it which is slightly fiddly (but if you can thread an overlocker, you’ll easily do it!).
It is a large bag so if you completely pack it (depending what goes in it) it might be heavy to lift in your car. Moving it around is easy because of the wheels.
Even though this bag is large, be sure to check the dimensions of your overlocker / serger first, just in case.

If your budget doesn't stretch to the trolley bag then consider the Luxja Overlocker bag. This is substantially lower in price although it doesn't have wheels or the trolley handles. This good looking bag is great to store your overlocker in to keep it dust free and protected when travelling!
Made of a strong, heavy duty nylon. It looks good with clean lines and the modern gray colour is pleasing and unobtrusive. It is easy to wipe over to keep clean and seems shower-proof. The stitching and finish quality of the bag is neat
It has internal padding for protection both in storage and in transit with a wooden board at the bottom providing both strength and stability.
It’s a generous size but you should check the dimensions of your overlocker to make sure it fits. It fits most overlockers, obviously with the thread tree pushed down!
The whole top of the bag completely opens up to make it easy to lift the overlocker in and out.
The handles are sturdy and well attached to the bag and there is a detachable shoulder strap for ease of carrying. The handles are broad enough to be comfortable to carry.

It has rubber feet so that the bottom of the bag is slightly lifted of the ground and doesn’t pick up dirt from the ground.
We like the grey spots as its stylish and yet unobtrusive in any home. This bag also comes in purple, plain grey or black. Spots is our favourite.
This is not a cheap bag but a good investment to protect your overlocker and keep it clean and safe.

This is a great quality bag, made from a strong nylon fabric which is wipeable and so easy to keep clean and is an attractive design. We like the slightly retro, traditional style of this bag.
There is some padding to protect the overlocker / serger. A wooden board base, which can be removed for storage, inside the bag adds stability without adding overly to the weight of the bag.
There are sizeable front and back pockets as well as inner pockets which have see-through covers so you can easily find things. There is plenty of space for your foot peddle and all your accessories.
The bag effectively unzips almost fully in half with a slanted zipper which gives a very large opening and easy access to get the overlocker / serger in and out.
The handles are strong and there is a detachable shoulder strap.
Sizeable inner storage inside which should fit the majority of overlockers although you should check the dimensions before purchase to be sure yours fits.
The back thread holder needs to be lowered to fit in the bag (usual for overlocker bags)
